Chiropractic
Your nervous system controls the function of every system, organ, tissue, and cell in your entire body. When each cell in your body is functioning at 100%, all the time, you are in a state of perfect health. Your spinal cord carries the messages from your brain to your cells. 24 moveable bones called vertebrae to protect the spinal cord. When these vertebrae are out of position they can cause interference to the flow of information from your brain to the rest of your body and from your body to your brain. This interference sets the stage for disease and is what chiropractors call a subluxation. Doctors of Chiropractic (D.C.) are trained to locate misalignments and then remove the interference by correcting the misalignment of the vertebrae through the adjustment. Today a minimum of eight years of post-secondary education is required before receiving a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Chiropractors must then pass board examinations in order to legally practice in Ontario. At our wellness-based center, we have Chiropractors caring for families and individuals of all ages who wish to enjoy an active and healthy life.
Massage Therapy
Today, many individuals are aware of the health benefits of a therapeutic massage by a Registered Massage Therapist (R.M.T.). Massage is a hands-on treatment of the soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons & ligaments. Massage therapy directly affects the muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems with the aim of relieving physical pain, rehabilitating and maintaining physical function and enhancing the overall wellbeing of the patient. At our Centre, we have several massage therapists who provide a wide range of techniques. All are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
